AAU Library launches a digital repository to support scientific research

The Khalifa Library at Al Ain University has launched its digital repository to preserve, collect and distribute digital materials such as books, theses, research projects, and scientific publications.

Currently, the repository contains more than 500 research publications in business, communication and media, education, engineering, law, and pharmacy. The selected papers are open access papers indexed in the Scopus database with at least one contributor from AAU.

Dr. Abdoulaye Kaba, Library Director, said that; the goal of creating the digital repository is to facilitate access to resources and information, as users can use different search options to select required documents, download, read, print, or save the full text to the desktop. He added that faculty members and students can benefit from the digital repository as its considered an important base for data and information.

The importance of the digital repository lies in the fact that it works to preserve and obtain resources and information at any time without the need to visit libraries, which makes it easier for researchers to obtain information and allows them to view what has been published of scientific research, digital books and university theses that help them in their scientific research.
