AAU Participates in the 25th Special Libraries Conference

Khalifa library at Al Ain University of Science and Technology participated in the 25th Annual Conference and Exhibition of Special Libraries Association, Arabian Gulf Chapter. Under the theme “The Internet of Things: The Future of the Connected Internet Societies”, which was attended by more than 500 participants from different countries. 

AAU librarian, Mr. Abdoulaye Kaba, presented a research paper entitled “The Internet of Things Research in the Arab World:  An analysis of Scopus Database”. The paper highlighted the growth pattern of the Internet of things (IoT) research in the Arab countries, types of publications, top journals, top productive authors, top productive institutions and countries.

It is noteworthy to know that, the conference was an opportunity for participants to understand the concept of IoT and how it can be used to improve services and performance in the libraries. 

Al Ain University of Science and Technology, represented by the Khalifa Library, is keen to participate periodically in such conferences, which are concerned with libraries and books, which is an opportunity to enhance skills and share common experiences.
