AAU Enriches its Library with the Latest Educational Books

 

In order to support academic programs and specializations, Al Ain University recently enriched its libraries in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi with more than 1300 books published in 2016 and 2017. The books include textbooks for teaching Islamic culture, social sciences, Arabic language and English. They also include textbooks for other subjects such as science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, etc. A special display of the books in the library was visited by Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, AAU President, and Prof. Abdulhafid Belarbi, AAU Vice President (Al Ain Campus) in addition to faculty members and students.

Prof. El Refae said that these books support teaching, learning, and research activities at AAU, in particular bachelor and graduate programs in teaching. He also pointed that, the provision of these books is an opportunity for our students to have free access to the latest textbooks approved by the Ministry of Education in UAE and use them in writing assignments, projects, and field training.

For his part, Mr. Abdoulaye Kaba, Library Director expressed the determination to acquire the latest editions of textbooks and improve continuously the library collections for all the programs and disciplines. According to him, this strategy has allowed AAU libraries to achieve significant growth annually in quantity and quality of books for various disciplines and programs offered by the University.
