Active Participation of Al Ain University Students in the UAE–Kuwait Relations Program
As part of Al Ain University’s commitment to promoting the values of tolerance, coexistence, and social responsibility among students—and in alignment with the UAE’s vision of empowering youth and fostering human fraternity—a group of students participated in the UAE–Kuwait Relations Program, held under the theme “The UAE and Kuwait: Brothers Forever.” The program took place at the Arab Youth Center in Abu Dhabi and was organized by the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence and the National Fund, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Embassy of the State of Kuwait, Kuwait University, and youth centers in Kuwait. The program runs until February 5.
Students from Al Ain University – Abu Dhabi campus attended a series of workshops and youth activities held over two days (Saturday and Sunday), focusing on the values of tolerance and coexistence, enhancing youth engagement in community work, and developing joint initiatives. The sessions also highlighted the longstanding fraternal ties between the UAE and Kuwait. These activities adopted an interactive approach that helped raise students’ awareness of national and societal issues and deepen their understanding of the role of youth in embodying these values.
The students also took part in a youth retreat held yesterday as part of the program, alongside participants from the State of Kuwait. The retreat aimed to foster constructive dialogue, exchange experiences, and explore joint initiatives that can be implemented in both countries, strengthening future youth partnerships in areas such as national identity, community engagement, and cultural and creative initiatives.
The program brings together around 100 young men and women from the UAE and Kuwait, serving as a platform for interaction, connection, and building bridges between generations, based on the belief that strong bonds between nations are built through shared experiences and direct engagement.
The participation had a positive impact on Al Ain University students, enhancing their awareness of tolerance and cultural openness, strengthening their communication and dialogue skills, and reinforcing the values of positive citizenship and national belonging. It also encouraged them to actively engage in national and community initiatives and contribute to building future youth partnerships.
This participation reflects the students’ readiness to represent the university in national and community events, highlighting their awareness and commitment. It also supports the university’s strategic objectives related to community service, student development, and strengthening collaboration with national institutions. The program received media coverage across digital platforms and various media outlets, showcasing the active presence and positive engagement of the university’s students in this national event.
