A delegation from AAU visit the Sharjah Book Fair
A delegation from Al Ain University, including its campuses in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi, visited the Sharjah International Book Fair 2024. The visit was organized by Khalifa Library in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs and the university's colleges.
The visit provided an opportunity for faculty members and students to engage with the world of books, knowledge, and culture. During the visit, faculty members actively assisted librarians in selecting and purchasing books.
The trip aimed to enable students to explore prominent literary and cultural publications, discover local and international publishing houses participating in the fair, acquire books aligned with their interests, and attend a variety of educational workshops.
A key highlight of the visit was the students' interaction with several authors participating in the fair, where they had the chance to engage in discussions and exchange ideas, adding a unique value to their cultural experience.
Additionally, the university's librarians attended the Library Conference alongside the book fair, which addressed trends, challenges, and innovative practices in library sciences.
