Engineering & Pharmacy Students applying Calculus to solve life problems

The College of Engineering organized a virtual science activity under the supervision of Dr. Nuha Hamada, in order to develop the skills of the engineering and pharmacy students to understand calculus and how to apply it in our life.

Students prepared short videos to explain how to use mathematical models to solve real problems. Such as; Pharmacy students relate the calculus to sensitivity to changing the amount of drug doses. Also, in electrical engineering, calculus is applied in electrical circuits to calculate the rate of change of total resistance.

In addition to enhancing their mathematical skills, this activity helps students acquire various skills and knowledge; such as; the use of digital technology and modern applications for video production, in addition to presenting skills, enhancing self-confidence, and discovering talents.
