New Faculty Members Visit AAU Library

Library, AAU, AlAin University, AlAin, Abu Dhabi, UAEAAU new faculty members in Al Ain campus visited the library. The visitors were welcomed and greeted by Mr. Abdoulaye Kaba, Library Director as well as other library staff. The Director explained to the new faculty members about the library policies, rules, and relegations. He also mentioned that the AAU libraries are equipped with valuable resources to support teaching, learning, and scientific research. These resources, according to him, include more than 55,000 volumes, in addition to thousands of electronic books and journals.

The director extended his explanation about the library services, equipment, and facilities. He said the library provides a spacious and conducive study environment for the visitors. It has a seating capacity for 206 visitors, 17 discussion rooms, and 53 computers for the Internet use and database searches.

Beside resources and services, he said, the library organizes orientations, information literacy training and workshops, presentations, book fairs and exhibitions, educational visits for faculty and students. These activities are indented to empower our faculty and students with essential knowledge and skills to use effectively library resources and services. The visit was ended by a tour inside the library.
