Overview
The main AAU Library in Al Ain was inaugurated in September 2005 with approximately 5000 volumes. Since then the collections have increased significantly every year. Today, AAU libraries in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, contain more than 88,000 volumes of books, periodicals, multimedia, etc.
AAU library follows the Anglo-American cataloguing systems and the Library of Congress classification for collection management. All library services are computerized using an integrated system, Symphony, which facilitates access to online catalogue inside and outside the library. In addition to wireless connection, the libraries provide 114 computers for internet use, 39 rooms for study and group discussions, and 116 tables.
